Local Joe’s is a Southern Kitchen that showcases authentic comfort food prepared in our “scratch” kitchen. Mt. Juliet, Tn. is the birthplace of this unique brand and San Marcos, Tx. will be the home of our first, Texas based concept. Founder and Restaurateur, Joe Perricone a Texas Native, born in Austin, is excited about this new venture. Bringing decades of hospitality experience to the Hill country, we will be located in the Heart of Downtown San Marcos. Local Joe’s intends to offer an alternative to the many Mexican and Bar B Q dining establishments peppered throughout the city. Featuring award winning Skinless Fried Chicken, Homemade Meatloaf, Turkey & Dressing, and a Carving Station showcasing a daily favorite, such as our Applewood Smoked Pit Ham or Cajun Turkey, accompanied with a delicious array of southern sides you can expect to see~ Buttermilk Whipped Potatoes, Kettled Cooked Green Beans, Fried Okra, Shells and Cheese and many more. We serve a tremendous dessert selection of homemade and traditional favorites to satisfy your sweet cravings like, Homemade Banana Pudding, Old Fashioned Fudge pie, Pecan Pie & Buttermilk Pie, just to name a few. Wash it all down with delicious fresh brewed Sweetened Tea, Mermaid Tea (four juice infused fruit tea) our Beer & Wine selection and Pepsi products too. Weekly Specials to include; Tender Prime Rib, “All you can eat” Fried Catfish w/ Homemade Hushpuppies and Kids Eat free on Thursdays.
